Hi All,

I am looking for some tips and suggestions regarding Encryption techniques.

My Situation :
I need to encrypt data before it is sent to a database and decrypt it before processing it.

My Problem :
I see that RSA algorithm can not encrypt large datasets, how do i solve this problem in other forums developers say use A symmetric algorithm for ncrypting large datasets and use RSA algo to encrypt the symmetric key.

What are the advantages/disadvantages that are involved with the above technique ?

any suggesion would be appreciated

Regards
