can any one suggest the API that can use to read the barcode input???

hi

many barcode readers are "just keyboards" (Human Interface Devices - HID)-> you can read the barcode from System.in or
in GUI code you can give the focus to a text input field and then scan the code. this might be good enough for your application...

otherwise you probably need to look at the comm api for comport or some USB solution for java and then just read the bytes that are sent by the scanner.


what scanner are you using ? what is your application ? what is the environment ?
