My web browser is IE6.0, the banner's layout looks not good. It alines to the most right.

OK, thanks. (Although I doubt we'll change it, no one really uses IE6, you're just looking at it as a dare, right?)

I'm forced to use IE 6 at work.

(Anyway, it looks fine here.)

Guys, take a look at the Javaranch home page rather than the saloon home page. The banner looks off center to me although it's not quite as extreme in Firefox as it is in IE6. And it is almost centered in IE7.

Which resolution are we talking about... I've had some issues with IE6 at 1024 x 768.

I'll see what I can find.

800x600 using Firefox 2 is ok
1024x760 looks like the left side of the banner is above the 'J' in "Java greenhorns"
1280x1024 - the left side of the banner is now above the 'o' in "greenhorns"
1400x1050 - the left side of the banner is now just after the '!' mark
1600x1200 - the left side of the banner is now above the 'A' in "Active forum"

800x600 using IE6 - the left hand side of the banner is under the 'h' in JavaRanch and the right side is inside the brown area.
1024x768 - the right hand section of the banner is cut off. Everything to the right of the "JFace forum" is outside the brown area.
1280x1024 - ditto
1400x1050 - ditto
1600x1200 - ditto

Thank you Marilyn!

It looks like I'll need to move to a different positioning strategy.
