Hi all!
I've to solve this problem: There is a server side Java application with a web user interface, that insert and extract ofice documents to and from an oracle DB as blob. The client has requested to transform the doc files to PDF. What is a recommendable and integrable server side product to adapt?
Thank You in advance.

Just google it.

While iText can create PDF files, I think the bigger problem will be reading DOC files. The POI library can help with that, but probably not to the extent you need. If you're on Windows, have a look at WordApi.exe. The best bet may be to use the OpenOffice Java API; OO can open Word files, and save to PDF. Thus it should be possible to achieve what you're looking for.

Links to the above-mentioned libraries can be found on the AccessingFileFormats wiki page.

Thank You Ulf!
Yes, this is dhe problem. I need to convert a .doc file to a .pdf file, conserving all; fonts, formats, links ecc. I don't know if there is a library or a product (server side) that can do this at 100%.

Veri.
