hey, i am developing an application in which at help menu there will be an PDF file will be open in whatever browser depending uopmn the OS,i have done almost,but now the probelm is this that i am using windows Envoirenment,but now i also want to test on linux or solaris,i have thse envoiremnets on other machines,so i want to connect with those machine an want to run this command like for solaris it will be ilke netscape ww.google.com,for linux it will be mozilla ww google.com, so please help me if any one can,that how can i connect with tose machines..

I'm not quite sure what you are doing, or which of the various tasks you mention you need help with, but if it's the one you mention in the subject line, check out Jakarta Commons Net. It includes a Telnet client implementation written in Java.
