Well, that's the first I've heard of this bug - it doesn't seem to have affected most of our users. Are you sure your caps lock wasn't on? Since the password appears as ****** this wouldn't necessarily be obvious.

Caps lock wasn't on (first thing i checked).
I did a copy and past from the email text also,
so caps lock would have no effect.

Aha. Testing shows the password is actually case-insensitive. So I think the most likely explanation here is that when you copy-pasted, you accidentally grabbed an extra space or newline - which is hard to see since it all looks like *******. The system doesn't trim the password - perhaps it should. So the copy-paste failed. But then when you typed it manually in lowercase, you typed it without the extra char. Does that seem possible?

No extra space was grabbed during the copy and paste.
As a developer i'm aware of the missing trim problem
in formular fields.

Today i registered under a different username and
did the same copy and paste. It worked on the first attempt.
The password check is really case-insensitive, so there was
no caps lock problem.

As i'am not able to reproduce this bug -> there is no bug.

Fair enough. I believe you when you say you checked for the common errors I've suggested. But to the extent that we can't reproduce the situation now, there's not much to be done I guess. Glad it's working for you now, anyway. Cheers.
