I am currently in the planning phase of coding a stock control system... What I was thinking of was implementing my own version of the ACID properties (programatically) in the system.

I'm busy doing some research on the pros and cons and to what extent it will help me.

I'm developing in J2EE 1.4 with MySQL 4.1...

Anyone else have any experience with a similar situation... Any comments and ideas will be most welcome!

Michael
