Detecting system (linux) state (lock/ hibernate) java coding. how?

anyone have any idea or java coding to detect a system's state( linux ). information about, if the system is in sleep.hibernation/standby mode.

Thats's pretty easy: if your system is in sleep, hibernate, or standby mode (not sure what the differences are there, but in any case) then your program isn't running.
