Hello There,
Could any body let me know where I could find good study material for a self starter in Java. Specially on Swing, applets,servelets, java scripting and socket programming. Where that documentation should show the syntax of a particular keyword/command and a tiny workout from that command. Good old pascal and C/C++ manuals that Came in printed manner did a wonderfull job in that sense.

The first thing you need is the Sun Tutorial from the Sun Site and the Java API. These two are a must have's.
