Hello,

I have 2.5 years of experience in java, j2ee.
I have been to EU country for 2/3 months on project.

Now my question is whether to got for Masters education now in Comp Sci.

Will MS education add value (heard in some EU countries it is not very costly that is what I heard). Will it pay me in long run. Many of my friends are of opinion that it does not add much value at least in terms of pay package.

Also if I should then shall I do it by leaving job and attending univ/college or online/distance education is also ok.

It is a requirement on most companies before you get a good management position and salary, to have a masters degree.

In some research in usa, people with masters degree earn more.

As you grow into your career, if you want to go on management path, your masters degree with be very handy in terms of employer / interviewer acceptance.

In my view MBA might be better if you want to get into management and not too sure about MSc.

I also recommend MBA if you are ambitious to grow in terms of management and related career path. Thats purely a personnel choice! If you want to be a technical person for longer time go for MS. Or else, if you feel like spending few years in technology as a technical person, and moving to a management stage go for MBA. Because marketing and sales people are highly paid in most of the companies. Because they are the ones getting business to the company.

I prefer "Marketing Solutions" career path is best since you should have technical skill as well as marketing and management skill in order to sell a technology solution.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
