hi,
i would like to know how to make exe files in java. I downloaded javahelp today and found exe files which i think were made in swings.
also i would like to know how to make executable jar files.
expecting a reply in this regard.

Hi!
Well U can make Exe Files by writing the Java Code in Ms VJ++ or Symantec Visual Cafe.
Well select win32 application when prompted the project type in the two and they should work.
Regarding the Jar files.. package the classes in some "x.y.z" and then run jar cfvm //manifest file name // //outputfile.jar// //input file names//
That should work.
Look up suns site for more on Jar files..

To make an executable jar, you need to add a line to the manifest file telling what the main class name is. For example
Main-Class: mainclassname

thats right u will need to place a manifest file together with u r class files in the jar..
