how to close an applet with the help of event handling.that is after making an close button what syntax should be wrote in the action performed method to close an applet.

Hai Dave,
Its not possible to close the applet,Hope so. Because its one embedded within the web, where the JVM is invoked once the applet tag is encountered, trying to close the applet, may end up with interrupting the JVM execution.
If System.exit(0) it throws an AccessControlException.
