disable events in an applet

Hi ,
I have an applet talking to a database thru asp, now whenver I make a call or do some processing I want to prevent the user from doing anything else, i.e, I want to disable any events, or u know say block the applet sort of thing..is there any way, pls help asap.

I think that you can do this by placing a glass pane over the applet. The glass pane will become the target of any user actions, and as it will have no listeners, no events will be processed. Does that help?

Hi ,
Im afraid I can't use any other pane..so Im trying to use the disableEvents() method which takes in inputevent parameter..Im still working it out..but I need something along these lines..
