I have a JTable created using the defaultTableModel. My isCellEditable if false for all the cells. For me to move from one row to another in the JTable using the keyboard, I need to use the down arrow or the up arrow - this is fine.
However, if I use the tab key, I move from cell to cell - of course, the cells are not editable but the highlight shifts from one cell to another. So, if I want to go from 1 row to another by the tab key, I end up tabbing as many times as I have columns.
How can I disable this and have the tab key also to go from one row to another if my cells are not editable. Is this even possible ?

TIA
Sharada

I am sorry - duplicate message - this message is in the archives.
See message title "JTable - Tab Displacement" by Babu Bala on July 13. 2000 in this forum. I do not know how to create a link to that message but I have been answered.
Thanks
Sharada
