I want to create Frame using jdk1.1.8, without the three default icons on the top left corner. The three icons I am referring to is the minimize, maximize and closing icons. Is it possible to achieve this, if so, can anybody please help me out.
Thanking you.

hi there
why do u want to do it? how would u expect to close the window without pressing ctrl+c at the prompt? have u tried looking in the API source files, window extends frame and container extends window, perhaps looking in those source files

Thanx Lee for your immediate response.
My application does not require to close the window using ctrl+c at the prompt, rather I have a separate button provided to close the window. I had been through the API source files, unfortunately it did not help me in overcoming this problem.
Can you please suggest me any further possible solution.
Thanking you.

Hi hemlatha,
You shall use Window instead of Frame. Window by default does not have any maximize/minimize/close buttons.
hope this helps.

Hi Deekasha
Thanx for your suggestion. Unfortunately i cannot use windows becoz i need to use menubar in my application and since menubar cannot be added to the windows, i have to depend on frame class.
I will be grateful for any further suggestions on this.
Regards
Hemalatha
