Does the jdk 1.3 integrate considerable changes/improvements in the Swing class? If so, are these areas covered in the "Swing" book by Matt Robinson?

"Swing" is based on JDK1.2 so the changes/additions in 1.3 are not covered. However, there aren't too many changes in JDK1.3. One is the addition of an InputVerifier class which is handy when validatidating input of text fields. There was also a change to JInternalFrame requiring a setVisible(true) call to make it visible within a container.. this previously wasn't required.
There are some other changes but not too significant. The only book that is completely up to date with JDK1.3 is John Zukowski's book "John Zukowski's Definitive Guide to Swing for Java 2 2nd edition"
Thanks,
-Matt

We just migrated our very large app from 1.2.2 to 1.3.1 without to much trouble. Points to watch (for us anyway) were the changes to BackingStore (now deprecated) for scrollpane and changes to JTable when using the TableColumn.getHeaderRenderer which now returns null.
There is plenty of useful info in the docs under the Guide sub-directory.
