Hey there,
Can anyone tell me if there is a Swingclass to add threads or runnable objects? I want to be able to do some heavy processing tasks and still allow the user to some functionality.
Thx

You need to use separate threads... there is no Swing class included in the JDK to do this for you except Thread. You may want to look at the beginning of chapter 2 here for explanations of how to do multithreading with Swing:

Also, the Swing team has written some articles about this. In particular they discuss code for what they call worker threads which will address your issues similarly. See the Swing Connection site
