dear demissew,
This is a typical problem of the JVM in the browser. Your browser may not support swing. Microsoft in its latest realease has not included support for swing, forcing users to go for java swing plugin available at java.sun.com. If you use some other browser please check their latest version.

Hi,
Check out Netscape 6.0. It includes support for Java 2.0

you can always use the java plug in 1.3 available from java.sun.com.
The problem is that for running jApplet the browser jvm requires the swings.jar file. either use the HTML converter or use the plug in.
hope it helps
