does anyone have any ideas how i can generate a user interface form based on the information in an xml-DTD. The aim of my project is to write a software that will be used to capture data which will be used to write an xml document. for example you have a screen with fields, you enter data into the fields, press a button and the data is exported as an xml document with appropriate tags surrounding the entered data. this xml document is then stored as a text file on the system. my problem is that i need the software to handle any xml structure therefore the interface form needs to change depending on the xml-dtd. Are there any examples where this has been done and what tools can i use. it has been suggested to me that DTD's do not have enough information to create forms, however i would like further input. do you know any sources of inspiration on this kind of work.
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
