Sun gives a tutorial on Mouse Motion Listner
which spits out X & Y coord's. It runs as an
applet. Try it out and see if that helps you,
in case you haven't done it already.

and BTW, I don't see any JChart classes in the 1.2 or 1.3
J2SE API.
what package is it in?
