Hi All,

I am in biggest confusion and problem. I have almost 2 years of experience. Let me explain you about my career: In Jun 2006, I joined one Product based middle level org. I am an electronic graduate. At the time of joining i was not aware of JAVA at all. That company provided me 4 months of training. I was still not comfortable with java at that time. After this, that company sent me to Singapore to do production support as I was not good at JAVA. I worked hard and learn java by my own. after this on my request, that company gave me a big development work for the same project i was supporting. I took 8 months to finish that, during this time i was doing both role, supporting and development. by God grace, everything was fine and due to that work I was awarded with one Annual award "Young achiever of year 2007". Once I finished that work, I got some other development work and I am proud to say that I had always finished them before timelines. Finally I did my SCJP in March. But after few weeks my company decided to send me back to India. Now i did the biggest mistake of my life, due to charm of Singapore and money obviously, i decided to quit my company and the first interview i attended after that, I cleared and I was selected. I quit that company and joined a new company. But here My job profile is worst, one can have. It like monitoring the application and if some problem comes I have to escalate...! I dont like this job and becuase there is no learning, no challenge and no growth. I have already requested them so many times to change it, but all in vain.
I am getting Depression because of this. I have appeared for some other interview now a days but it really hard for me to make other ppl understand why I want to quit, everyone think that i will not stay longer in the company.
I dont know what to do? Please advice me What is right step in this situation. My previous company is still agree to take me, is it ok to go back to India?

There's never just one "right step" for a problem. There's just a list of possibilities that one has the option of choosing from.

It definitely sounds like you're unhappy with your current employ, and that you've done what you can to try to fix the situation. It also sounds like you're trying to find other places that might make you happier. If there really is nothing to be done at your current employment, perhaps it is indeed time to move on.

But only you can decide what's best for you.

that is my problem, I am not able to figure out what is good for me, its kinda mental block, So i think i am in need of mentor who can guide me. Sometime i do get offer from small company, but i am very much afraid of changing my domain. currently I work for a Bank, Is it ok to change your domain. For eg: If I get a job in some other company suppose a game company. For developer what matters most , Technical expertise or Domain expertise?
