In case of processing, the JFrame seems to be disabled, when we switch to other applications. Is there any way to rectify it?for eg. let us consider there is a JFrame with a textarea, textfield & a button. On click of the button, the program checks for the files of '.class' extension in the specified folder in the textfield& displays the result in the textarea. When the system is processing i.e searching,& we switch to some other applciation& come back to it,& it is still processing, the JFrame seems to be disabled.i.e(the contents of the JFrame is not seen)It comes back when the processing is done.Is there any way to solve the problem. Is it possible to overcome this using threads.
Please reply as soon as possible.

If all ur components are on a mainpanel in the frame, then u can have threads running & call mainpanel.updateUI() to refresh the contents.
