If it is not indian MNC then anything above 8 should be sufficient, but Indian MNC so as pointed out already anything between 6.5 to 8 is good deal

Hi,
Currently the market is down, you should have heard of so many big company's firing people in the recent days. Day before yesterday the top ten hot trends in Google were Infy firing, Satyam firing, TCS firing etc etc.

So 6 to 8 lac should be a good deal.

If I have to name two aspects of the work experience that are very valuable in anyone's career

1. eCommerce, Web development --> most applications are web based
2. Integration --> JMS, Web Service, XML, SOAP, Data Feeds, etc. --> enterprise applications are distributed and need to communicate with disparate systems.

There are a number of players in the integration space both commercial & non commercial like Web Methods, Tibco, Websphere MQ, Mule, etc. Mule is an open source middleware that enable integration. In my view, learning on one product will help you understand the integration space well enough. What is more important is to learn the key concepts and not what tool you use. Tools do change over time. Mule is a tool. For example JBoss vs Websphere. Jboss is a popular open source Application Server whereas Websphere is a popular commercial product. Mule is a popular open source ESB (Enterprise Service Bus).

I think 6lpa is very much on the lowerside.. For 4 years one can expect say in the range of 7-9lpa if you are strong in java and depending on your experience.

tommorow i am going to give resignation.. but to be very honest ranchers i am very much scared that where I will be going to land up ?
that is working in mule ? could you just tell me how much technical stuff i am going to be in ? and will it be easy stuff ?

because my interview wasn't that technical and got easily selected to be honest.. ..
because my current project is SOA based (though I am not in Integration layer using IBM Messagebroker/Adaptor) but do use IBM Mq series,

so thinking in that way ... How much challenging and pure technical stuff I will be working on, with MULE and Open source ESB

but i have very much exp in webservices/portal/struts/jsf/ejb 3.0/mq series with jms

please guide me ranchers
bit scared

best regards

I would say the extensiblity of working on MULE is depends on your module or requirement which you are going to work.

However, If you happen to work with message enrichment/work flow/routing may be added more extensive manner from my view.

All the best.
