has anyone had any problems with the mouselistener in IE?
IE version 6
java 2 sdk version 1.3.1
i have items listed in a tree view format. clicking an item expands/collapses the tree. on some items in the tree, a click should open a seperate window for display of other information. this last click to open a document in another window does not work in IE, but it works fine in netscape. any ideas?

hi charlotte,
IE6 without a java plug-in won't support applets!! so i think u must have downloaded the plug-in, otherwise, i belief that your applet wouldn't have got loaded itself, in the first place.

can u just post a snippet of the code where you are trying to open the new url?
rgds,
Shashi

it happened to be a simple oversight. there was a blank space between showDocument and the open paren which caused the problem.
this
getAppletContext().showDocument(new URL, target);
rather than
getAppletContext().showDocument (new URL, target);

all the same, thanks for checking it out...
