I created a SplashWindow class to be shown while data is reirieved from database after logonform.
I am calling the SpalshWindow class in the OK button action perfomed in my logon form. and making my logonform not visible.
But
1)the logon form does not disappear. Even I tried closing the logonform before calling splash window
1) SplashWindow is appearing on the system desktop. not in my Parent JFrame.
SplashWindow class code as below:

Any help?
Thanks

1.) You don't show us any of the code that is closing the login form.

2.) Since the SplashWindow class is a JWindow it launches on the desktop... if you want it inside your application, you should use a JPanel or a JLabel.

One other problem is that we have no idea how you want your application to behave or what it is doing currently... Are your "forms" seperate JFrames? JPanels being switched using CardLayout? JInternalFrames on a JDesktopPane? Without knowing some background it is hard to tell you how to fix the problem you have...

If you want the splashscreen to be shown inside your application, you'll need to just add it to the desktop...

Here's a little example program to illustrate how stuff should go as you've described it...
