Even though I have passed the Java 2 Programmer Exam, I still consider myself a Java newbie because of the lack of practice in a real job environment, which I have not been able to find in recent times.
I have both JDK1.3 and J2SDK1.4 installed in my computer. At the beginning I used JDK1.3 for all my learning and practice, but I recently began to operate with the newer version.
I use a PC with Windows 2000 Professional as OS.
I am trying to get started with Java Beans, and I have downloaded the BDK 1.1 software into my C:\ drive. When I tried to finish the installation after the download, it gave me the error message:
Can't launch executable
(Windows error 126 occurred while loading
the Java VM)
Try re-installing the Java VM or change the
Java VM used by the application.
Can someone please indicate to me what is wrong, and how to go about getting the software installed and running? Thanks.

Well, I have never tinkered with the BDK. This is "sort of" an IDE topic, and "sort of" a GUI related topic.
Let's try the Swing/AWT Forum and see if they can help.
