Can anybody recommend a good reference book that covers the latest Swing features offered in the JSDK 1.4. Other than the Sun website, I've not found any good up to date (1.4) references. Thanks.

I know of two books that provide an overview of new features added in 1.4 -

The JDK 1.4 Tutorial - Manning

Java JDK 1.4 Core Platform Update - Wrox

Neither of these books is Swing specific, but should cover the new features of Swing in 1.4

If you need a reference that gives a good in-depth coverage of Swing I would recommend Graphic Java 2 - Volume 2: Swing. Even though it is a little older it still gives the best coverage of Swing I have seen!

I would recommend John Zukowski's "Definitive Guide to Swing". It's provides a superb overview of the major Swing components and the MVC architecture.

I have Zukowski's book and I have found it very useful. It has been my main reference to date. It only covers up to 1.2 though.
Yesterday I ordered Graphic Java 2, Volume Two, as per Nathan's suggestion. While placing my order I stumbled across Mastering, J2SE 1.4 and ordered that also. Hopefully they will serve as decent reference guides for 1.4
I haven't had the chance to use 1.4 on the job yet so I'm just trying to get up to speed on my own time.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I just found out! Over on JavaLobby they're giving away the PDF version of JDK 1.4 Tutorial... I've looked through it... no Swing stuff... Though it does seem to cover several other new things well... My advice would be to learn Swing well from the Graphic Java 2 book and then look over the new things added in 1.4.
