In my NT Box I am opening the help file as below:

My application will be installed in Win98/Win 2000 ans Windows NT.
How can I genereically call the hh.exe to open up my help.chm.
Thanks
Sri

What do you mean by "genereically call"?

That's a Windows problem...

If the hh application is installed, and can be found on the system path, a simple -

will cause the help file to be launched...

The problem comes in when the path is not set, the OS is not windows, or the windows version the program is running on does not have the hh program.

Tying a Java application to a specific OS (or even worse, a specific version of that OS) for a reason as simple as this just doesn't make sense... I would recommend using either HTML formatted help pages launched in a browser, or JavaHelp.
