How can I make a JOptionPane to be System Modal - meaning no other application can get the focus thereby hiding the existing Java application's modal JOptionPane?
I've seen one proposal(that I cannot get to work) using the toFront() method followed by requestFocus() in a focusLost listener but, of course, toFront() is in Window, which is not in the inheritance tree of JOptionPane.
Many Thanks

you can't do that with _any_ programming language?! I am always able to click on another application's window and it will overlay the formerly active app. ok, I am using unix, might be different to MS, fortunately...
