hi folks,
plz. help me to achive the following:
i want that my GUI which has been designed using JFC should have a kind of button which will open Excel software of microsoft windows. and after using plots, charts, graphs we can again go back to my own GUI.
is this possible? if yes, plz explain how to do this.

Check out POI of the Apache project. You can do what you are attempting within your GUI.

if you just need a way to display charts, you could use JFreeChart (sourceforge).
