Your Opportunity to Impact the Java Book World

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Yes, there are plenty of Java books out there. However, how many *good* Java books are out there? Here's your chance to improve the quality of current and future Java books.
I acquire web development books at New Riders, and we're interested in talking to those along the Java front lines who can help us shape our Java vision. We're not interested in your average, run-of-the-mill Java books. Instead, we want to give you the books that YOU need. The books that YOU want. So here's your chance to tell us! What's missing on the bookshelf? Is there something about Java that continues to give you headaches and you just can't find a solution for it? What's something that you think will be red hot down the road?
Also, we're always looking to add to our outstanding team of Proposal Reviewers, Technical Reviewers, and Authors. The only prerequisites are that you be technically savvy and incredibly passionate. After all, we love the smell of soy ink the morning!
Yes, these are paying gigs. Plus, I've been known to toss around cool t-shirts, free books, and I even have some really cool keychain floaties around here somewhere. (You know, in case you fall overboard in the Atlantic and your car keys are in your pocket.)
So, let's chat! Anything and everything is game. Yes, you can even complain about our Java 2 Certification book. But I'm warning you: we're busy fixing it! Jamie is posting errata soon and we're underway on the revision. I guarantee the next edition will be the best Java certification book in the market.
Drop me a line! I look forward to chatting.

I'd like a book about implementing multiagent sytems in Java.

Tatae: Can you please email me at jeff.riley@newriders.com and elaborate a bit on this thought? I'm intrigued, but would like to know a bit more about your idea. Thanks!
