Hi,
I like to know how to create two frames with two separate applications like Internet explorer and note pad running simultaneously using awt.
i also want to know how to attach the application like internet explorer browser in the frame in awt. i am having an hard time in figuring it out.

You can use the exec() method defined in the Runtime class for invoking any application from within your java program.
Runtime r = Runtime.getRuntime();
r.exec("Program name");
I havent tested this code but I think it should work.
there are many variants of exec() method which you can use.See the API docs.
As far as your second question is concerned I think you are trying to display Internet Explorer from within your java Frame.Am I right?
If that is the case then I think there is an ActiveX component associated with IE which is available in the Windows folder.You can embed this active X component in your java application.
For embedding activeX inside java refer the following article in the The code project
I hope this will help

Thanks for giving me a solution.
What i like to develop is, when i click a button i should get internet explorer running in my frame and when i click the button once again i should be able to run Opera Web browser.
what should i do so that i can run my Opera web browser in my frame. are there any specific requirements to be met when i need to include browser or any other application in the AWT frame?
Thanks

I dont think you can display opera browser inside awt frame as It does not have any active x interface available in it's distribution package,I am not sure though.
But you can always display Opera in it's seperate window using Runtime.exec() method.
If you are really desperate to do it check out the opera site.
