Hey !
I need an urgent help in Swing, i am using a JFileChooser for saving the file. Whenever i try to enter the file name (in Japanese characters) in the textfield of JFileChooser it gives me '?' instead of the correct file name on doing getSelectedFile(), but when i select any existing file from the list(with japanese file name) i get it saved perfactly. I have a japanese windows OS on my machine and i am using jdk1.3. Is there any problem in giving a non existing name in the textfield of JFileChooser.
Thank You
Saurabh

Tested this out in English on the 1.4.1_01 JDK and it returns the correct name if you type a new filename into the text box... Maybe a problem with the different language, or maybe a problem with the version of the JDK you're running...

You could search the Java Bug Database to see if others have had this problem, if it has been fixed, if there are any workarounds, or to post your problem if no one else has...
