explicit deallocation of swing memory

In swing I create so many objects and then after some time I never use it. Is there any way we can explicitly de-allocate the memory alloted to these objects?

System.gc()? This tells the JVM that you want to try and do garbage collection... however, the JVM can ignore the request...
