Hi,
I am afraid this could be a very simple question.
I have developed a splash scren using JWindow. It displays for 4 secs and disappears. I want to start my application immediately after displaying the splash screen. Should I instantiate the required class in the Splash window class? Could anyone give me some example.

The purpose of the splash screen is to give the user some feedback while the program starts up. Your main program should start two threads... a thread that does all the startup stuff, and a thread that displays the splash screen. The splash screen thread should wait for the startup thread to die using join(), and then hide the splash screen and set the app visible.
