Looking for a Free IDE to build java swing gui's. Would like to avoid Forte and VisualAge, something with less memory requirements.

I'm a big fan of NetBeans. I can't say that it has low memory requirments though! :roll:

Sorry, but I think you might have to lower your expectations. Anything with GUI and java in the same sentence that I've seen, is either buggy or incredibly slow.

Without trolling this thread and getting into some huge debate, it will sufice to say that the above statement should only be considered an opinion and the key to that statement is "I've seen".
I can somewhat understand and sympathise with the slow remark, but buggy? I would have to disagree and suggest that Cy has seen some poorly written Java GUI's.

I'd have to agree with Greg... the only time you're going to see anything "buggy" is if the people developing the GUI didn't know what they were doing.
