The typical web browser has an address bar which allows you to view sites you have previously visited by clicking the arrow at the end of the bar.
This looks like a combination text field and choice(combo box) to me.
Is it possible to create this component in Java with the AWT?
Has it been done already?
I assume that a JComboBox doesn't really have this ability, but I don't do much Swing anyway.

If you are using SWING just use an Editable JComboBox. But in AWT I am not sure.

No, I'm not using Swing. It really needs to be AWT for what I'm doing.
But just out of curiosity, if I make the JComboBox editable, does that make ALL the selections editable or just the first?

The only part that is editable is what is selected. So basically, everything is editable. But it has to be selected. Just like the Address Bar of IE/Netscape/Mozilla/etc.
