JSpinner Problem

Hi,
I'm using JSpinner's to display a time in HH:mm format.
the code:

The problem now is:
System.out.println(jsActDateSpinner.getValue());
returns the value, set on application startup. if the value is changed by the user, the getValue() method does also print out the old value.
How do I get the actual value? with the DateModel?
The second problem: I want to store this time date into an oracle database. How is this done?
