Where could I find the Javadoc of the Java 3D Utility API? For example, com.sun.j3d.utils.universe.SimpleUniverse;

Hmmm... you're right, for some reason they don't have the full Java3D API Docs online. However, the JavaDocs for all the Java3D classes are in the documentation you can download from this page. It's the choices in the second combobox entitled "Implementation Documentation".
