Is anyone aware of the availability of a component that will allow complex cross tab type data to be displayed **and** interacted with based on a JTable.
It is a requirement that complex tables be supported, i.e. the data cells within the table should be able to contain multiple values either horizontally or vertically arranged. Full font formatting is also required. Ideally the table layout, data sources etc should be specifed via XML files.
Values within the tables should also be editable and provide hooks to allow an underlying database to be updated. It should also calculation fields.
I have *mostly* written a component that meets these criteria. It is configured via XML descriptor files for the data-source (JDBC), meta-data and layout and will display data as either a cross tab or normal table (will also support editable graphs using ILog JViews). The implementation is based on standard JTables but using JTables as the cell renderer (which can also then use a JTable to render its cells !!). I would like to compare it to other thrid party products if any are available.
Would others be interested in a component like this?
