Hello All
Can anyone please tell me if the mneumonic for an editable JComboBox works in Windows? It seems to work in Unix, but not in windows.
I have a label and a combobox and the label is associated with the combobox. If the combobox is made editable, the shortcut key does not seem to work. Here is part of the code...
JLabel jLabel = new JLabel("Label for combo");
jLabel.setDisplayedMnemonic(KeyEvent.VK_L);
JComboBox oComboBox = new JComboBox();
oComboBox.setEditable(true);
jLabel.setLabelFor(oComboBox);
With this code, Alt+L should bring the focus to the combo box, but it doesnt seem to work in Windows.
Thanks!

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
