Hello all,
I am designing a application where I would like to add a immage as a background to the JFrame how to do this.
One more thing, I have see people creating appications with the display panel in variety of shapes, java have frames which is just rectangle (ok u can set a size) although u can have square. what should i do if i would like to make a frame which is of different shape.
thanks,
sivaraman

In regards to your question about making SWING Apps non-rectangular...
The only way you can do it without writing your own JNI is to use http://www.l2fprod.com/. And it only works in Windows.
About the background image...
A forum search turns up 75 results. A good example can be found in this post
