I have developed a Swing Application in Java(J2SDK 1.4.2) for a Client which currently runs on Windows 2000 on the Laptop. The application uses the following
It consists of a an entry form which is saved as an XML file on the user's computer.
I would like to move this application to the Tablet PC where I want to make use of the Ink feature provided by tablet PC for signature capturing.
What SDK do I use for the Tablet PC ?.Also what version of Java web start and Run time ?And will my current application require any changes to run as is on the tablet.
How can I make a "Ink Application" for tablet PC Java .I have had a look at several 3rd party tools but none of them is as convincing. Please let me know if your are aware of some tools. It would be great if I can get any samples for Tablet PC Java development.
Thanks and Regards

Whoah there, "Maverick" -

Welcome to the JavaRanch! Please adjust your displayed name to meet the
JavaRanch Naming Policy.
You can change it here.

Can you give a link to the Tablet PC you'll be using? That might help us figure out what versions of Java might work on it and if it will need any special considerations.

I have a Zaurus (Linux-based PDA) that has PersonalJava (kinda like J2ME with some J2SE stuff thrown in) and can use a stylus for input. Stylus input is handled using regular mouse events ( though mouseEntered() and mouseExited() don't work for obvious reasons ). Maybe a tablet PC does the same thing?
Thanks! and welcome to the JavaRanch!
