animattion in a GIF image

hi everybody,
i am having a GIF image.which contans a football players photo and ball.i want to make an animation so that the player kicks the ball and ball enters into net.
i want to do it compleately in java.may i use all low level maths and coding?.
anyone can help me?.cool links are welcome.

no one availeable for some coplex issues?.
it's urgent to me.anybody experienced please help.my problom is
i am having an image.i need some movements in that image by making it as a java applet.can java2D provide enough methods?

I think it's the "completely in java" part that has people speechless.
If you first carve up the image in an image-editing program, so you have separate player and football pictures, then it's trivial; the JDK comes with many examples of animated-image applets.

it's ok.i am willing to split the image into players,ball,net ect.but the program seems a misery to me.i am in need of serious help.
anyone did some animation work using java2D?

As I said, look in the demos that come with the JDK. There are at least half a dozen demos that do what you want.

Here's a really quick example... you're probably going to be getting the images from files instead of drawing them, but the animation code is pretty straightforward in there too. Don't look too closely at the graphics...
