Hi Mathews,
I am also trying to solve this problem as it relates to editing a String table field. Many of my clients find it hard to terminate the edit properly so that the table value updates. My table is embedded in a panel holding a number of JTextFields that the user also needs to edit. My challenge is to make the table fields operate in a similar manner to the rest of the panel. Maybe override the cell renderer method to extend a JTextField rather than a JLabel. Anyway, not sure if we have the same problem, so I'll keep soldiering on!
