Hi -
I'm very new to Java (only a few months), but I've been thinking about creating a project that utilizes JDBC. As part of this project, I'll want to create standard reports that can be generated, and I'm thinking the easiest way to display those reports might be via HTML. Only, I don't know if there is any kind of object (e.g. JTextArea) that can act as an embedded HTML viewer? Or would it be easier to simply create the reports, and then have them opened in the persons default internet browser? Any other ideas??? Again, it's only a thought - but I figured I'd ask before I did any extensive research in case someone much more knowledgeable than myself had an idea. TIA

2 ideas.
1. JasperReports
2. JFreeReport
No reason to re-invent the wheel.
