hi all:
do you guys recommend any specific book for learing swing?
I am looking for a book to learn from, not just a reference.
I did some simple swing programming 2 years ago. That is all my knowledge.
thanks

Hi,
I found the manning book usefull
http://www.manning.com/robinson2

First there are 2 overview chapters, followed by more deeper digging around the individual components like JFrame, JTable, etc.
These later chapters contain allways an extensive discussion of a larger example. When finished explaining example, there is allways boring but usefull reference section.
Recently on Oreilly an interesting case study for a non-trivial swing app was published. It has some really interesting points, I find.

Take a look at looks and forms open source packages by Carsten Lentzsch. Are used by a lot of people these days and make Swing apps much nicer looking.
