hi,
I need to open "ms outlook" from java application when they click on an email address.
How can I find the path of outlook.exe
how I can make sure that their default mailclient is outlook
if they have sth else other than outlook how can i find the path for that.
right now, I am trying by using path file for my system. But our clients may have different version of outlook or they may be using other mail service.
thanks,

Out of curiosity, why do you need to open outlook? I would assume it would be to send an E-mail message. Why not just use the JavaMail API to send the E-mail.

With that being said, this really has nothing to do with Swing does it? Unless you are wanting some sort of JLabel with a mailto link on it. I'll let you decide then I'll move this question if need be so you can get better responses.
