Ever since I have been a member here people have been asking how to make a JFrame stay on top of all applications on the desktop. Up until now, this has not been possible without a pretty flickery nasty side affect.

Appearntly, after doing a test, JDK1.5 (Tiger) has a method now called setAlwaysOnTop(boolean) which forces the JFrame to stay on top of all applications on the desktop. Pretty cool for you folks wanting this feature.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
