Hi there

I have a JEditorPane that is set to show an HTML document that is a frameset. This frameset has 4 frames (NORTH SOUTH EAST and WEST);

When I use the same HTML page in IE, I can click on an item on the WEST frame and the required item shows in the EAST frame.

The problem is that when I load it in the JEditorPane, I click on the same item on the WEST and required item replaces the page in the WEST instead of showing in the EAST.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you kindly!
Rachel

Hi Rachel,

Bad news. The built in HTML support (HTMLEditorKit) does not support frames. Frames came along in HTML 4 and J2SDK 1.4.2 (and 1.5) only support HTML features thru HTML 3.2.

Good luck,

Darrin

Thanks Darrin. I guess I'll have to make another plan!

Cheers,
